“In regulated sectors, great marketing has to do two things at once: build trust and drive commercial growth. The best work happens when everyone involved understands both.”
About Mark Robinson
With more than 25 years’ experience in financial services, Mark brings a strong commercial background to Wrapped, with particular expertise across finance, insurance, technology and fintech. His career has seen him work with organisations ranging from ambitious fintechs and scale-ups to global financial institutions and Fortune 500 companies, giving him experience of both fast-moving, entrepreneurial businesses and large, complex international organisations. He understands the commercial pressures behind the marketing – from building trust and winning customers to launching new propositions, entering new markets and supporting long-term growth.
Having worked within finance and fintech for much of his career, Mark understands the balance these brands have to strike between commercial ambition and regulatory responsibility. Whether it’s financial promotions, customer communications, payments or launching something new to market, there are often very clear boundaries around what can be said, how it can be presented and what the customer needs to understand. Mark brings that knowledge into the marketing conversation early, helping clients communicate complex propositions clearly, build credibility and create work that performs without compliance becoming an afterthought.
For Mark, this is where the full-service agency model really comes into its own. In finance and fintech, the commercial proposition can’t be separated from the brand, customer journey, digital experience or regulatory environment around it. Strategists need to understand the commercial objective, creatives need to understand the boundaries, digital specialists need to know how and where the audience can be reached, and developers need to understand the journey they’re helping to create. Mark brings those different perspectives back to the bigger commercial picture, making sure the work doesn’t just look good or perform well in isolation, but genuinely supports what the client is trying to achieve.
